Help!

Has anyone out there fitted a HID lamp conversion and can suggest
a good place to locate the ballast box (keep it clean) .
I've got ABS and the kit instructions suggest putting the ballast underneath.
Unfortunately just about every wire, cable , pipe or tube on the bike
goes through or around that space already.
I've thought of putting it in the puncture repair kit compartment but
I don't want to loose the kit.

..I located the ballasts where the horn usually hangs off the front subframe and relocated the horn down inside the fairing. Its been on for a fair few miles now with no problems. Malc who I bought the kit from suggested this location and it did make the installation quite simple.

Thanks for the reply Herrman.

I've been looking at the horn mounting point as a possibility .

You said "ballasts" so I take it you've got a kit for dip and main.
Not sure if we've got the same kits . Mine came from Nippy Normans
and is for dip only . It came with a Panasonic ballast box which measures about 3 inches x 3 inches by 1 inch deep .

..Bobbit,
Correct, I do have Dip and Main with two ballasts but it sounds as though they are a similar size. Not sure where my kit came from other than it was sourced via the Pelican BB over in the USA.

Tis the only sensible place - relocate horn, strap ballast(s) to angled alloy sub frame that supports the nose area.
