Cheers
I used to use a couple of suppliers from eBay for customers that specifically asked me to do it for them.
I have no experience of the seller in that eBay ad., but I no longer use any of the suppliers that I used to use.
The problems were that they nearly fitted and the finish was nearly ready for painting. If you wanted them to fit properly and to look reasonable the cost of the labour involved just made the whole process totally uneconomic.
Of course I do realise that what is unacceptable finish to some people is perfectly acceptable to others, and also that some are quite happy to cost their time ( their labour) at zero.
You will do what you want to do, but my advise is to find the genuine article. Some of these are copies of copies done by the European equivalent of the YTS or YOP.
I looked at that same site last year when I was trying to avoid paying £1000+ from the local BMW dealer/cowboy (who is no longer selling bikes I hasten to add).
I thought that the piece from e-bay looked very thin and flimsy, so I went for the much more substancial unit from Motorworks. It is a tad more expensive at just under £200 but is a perfect fit and really sets off the bike.
Motorworks are very good to deal with and the piece arrived within 3 days.
I had gone as far as to contact that bunch from E-bay. They seemed very disorganised and gave me 2 different prices for the product and delivery, none of which compaired to the details on the screen at the time. Having said that, the piece is very well priced, if quality is not an issue.
You will have to remove your centre stand but the Motorworks one even has a profile to fit around the Cat if its still fitted.
I had to do a little filling to accomodate the shorter Torque arm which I had fitted earlier but all in all, I think its a very good product.
There appear to be only 2 draw-backs; the relative wide nose on the Pan which seems to attract every stone on the road. The paint quickly gets obliterated from this area and I have repainted mine already. However a piece of Carbon Fibre cloth cut to fit would resolve the issue. Also there is a "lip" on the upper profile of the piece and with the Cat removed there is a large area to the rear of the Pan where stones appear to gather and sit untill they get flung/rattled/worked out of the piece.
