Tax disc holder

I went to fit my new tax disc and found - no holder. The faux carbon with six stainless allen screws had been stolen. So if anyone offers you a holder, that looks quite smart, challenge them how to mount it! That bit is still attached to my bike. I am going to carry the tax disc in my jacket as I dont want to spend any more towards H. M. Gov.

Stick it through a laminator. Makes it waterproof and won't get all crumpled up in your pocket. Once laminated, cut off the surplus.
I use a laminator pouch (sprung from the office stationary cupboard), the wife's steam iron and a teatowel as I don't own a laminator.
I do it even to put inside a holder as I find even the "waterproof" holders turn them into a soggy mess.

Scan the original and mount the coppy on the bike and keep the original in your wallet, as some jobs worth will almost certainly nick you for failing to display a current tax disc.

Hi Ali, yes I know that it's fradulent but I am sure that you could argue the case?
As long as you had the genuine article?
Me I always use the genuine tax disc in a tax disc holder with anti tamper screws and have had no problems as yet!
Oh and by the way I was not insinuating that the boys in blue were jobsworth's but youre local parking gestapo espicially in my neck of the woods are out for the kill

Mine lives under the seat after some scrote nicked it and half of the holder several years ago. As every cloud has a silver lining, I find that this also assists when parked imaginatively in central london.. (ie. sans disc or plate)..
