Is it normal for the speedo to engage when you're not moving :?

Only noticed it recently, don't know if the hot weather has anything to do with it?

Hi
It looks like its picking up the feed signal from the rev counter.Check all block conectors for corrosion or moisture. Also check for shafing of wiring loom under the ignition switch.Mine done the same thing many moons ago, sprayed block cnnectors with contact cleaner which solved the problem
