Type 35?

I'd have to agree Bob - something designed by the firm that makes 1.0 litre Polos or the real thing? I'll have the old 'un thanks. :)

Byoootifall. :)

The old one for me too.Complete nutters who wrestled those things around race tracks and road circuits back in the days when health and safety was firmly at the BACK of peoples minds.Must have been great back then.
Your a lucky bugger bob, getting to fiddle and fettle them there beasts.

Hands up I dont get to fiddle and fettle

I am the muppet who has to source the parts and bits and pieces for cars made in the 1920's.

Yep Gromit Bugatti Type 35B circa 1923 1.2 million to you Sir, would that be cash or bankers draft.

Ok 1 mill GBP for cash

You really have the pits of a job Bob, Wouldnt mind swapping though!! My latest project is to produce a 4 tonne trailer in time for the Royal Highland Show---Show opens on the 21st of this month I think so I reckon on a few late (working) nights in the next few days. Still it all helps to pay for trips to Chateau Flash or Scotshire

Regards Peter

Saw this one today at the Harewood Hill Climb - a type 13 I think.

My favourite was this one:

Lovely pics Andy. :)

My personal favourite car, of all time, be it road or race...

Image

Maserati 250F. :)

I've got loads of my own pics of these (mostly taken at the Coys Historic Festival) but they're on slides unfortunately.

Not bad, not bad. My first ever race meeting was the Oulton Park Gold Cup in 1954. Stirling Moss had one of these there as did Roy Salvadori and I would agree that it is one of the best, but not THE best. There was a pre-war Alfa that rings all my bells.

Sorry - don't have a picture

I thought thats what they said yesterday but the programme indicated a 13 - I am sure you're spot on. The entrants came from all over and were mostly all a bit 'la-te-da!' if you know what I mean
