Apparently it'll be ready on the 15th, as it still needs a 12K mile service, a new tyre or two, and a couple of other bits. The wife's also just bought me a new set of Arlen Ness leathers, to replace the textile suit the friendly paramedics chopped off me. Which is nice.Thankfully, the new bike has pretty much all the kit I lost when I wrote my old one off, so there're only a few bits left to buy. New one has the wider 5.5" rim, too, for which I'd been scouring Ebay for ages when I had the previous bike.
Apologies to Derek (if he's on the forum), as I know he was interested in the bike, too (specifically after a black one); I'm afraid the 1150GS Adventure I tried didn't bring out the grin quite as much as the S.
So all in all, I'm a pretty happy camper. Now to decide whether or not I need a new set of Galfer discs for the front...
