Hi All

New to this forum stuff, (well apart from some years ago with an RG500 group whioch mostly just consisted of US based flame wars! )so bear with me!

Anyway names Simon, live in Lichfield in Staffs..not that far from Burton if there is ever a meet there!

Bought an R1100s at X-mas from Pidcocks in Derby after about three years of umming and ahhing...used to have a ZX7R but sold it due to underuse and smoke on hard accel! Survived with the 500Gamma for few years but decided to try a boxer for change.

Just one starter question..plan to do a trackday at Darley in May. Any suggestions for track tyre pressures..? Used to knock 7R down to 32/36 from 36/42..guess some adjustment required for Beemer?

Anyway look forward to "foruming" with you all.

Cheers

Simon

Hi Simon - welcome to the group. :)

Burton? Check out the Days Out section; there'll be just what you need right there.

Track pressures - I did a couple of trackdays on my first 11S several years ago, ended up with around 32r and 33f on the advice of a mate who used to do Superstocks. The rear works harder which explains the lower pressures apparently.

Hope you enjoy Darley - I often go up there to watch racing when we're at the in-laws up in Leek.

Well definitely not back... :

My boxer is silver and yellow...std apart from a Y section exhaust instead of catalyst.

Do occasionally go out for spin around the roads towards Tamworth an beyond, so I will keep an eye out for anpther R1100S.

Cheers

Simon

Welcome Mr Labrador, or may we call you Basil - or indeed Simon.

Good to see the numbers of 11s' increasing... I thought that everyone was jumping ship to 12s'
