unusual vibraty engine strain after a 100+ from the front

oh frigg a pig if it is not one thing it is another the indicator seems to have settled down now.
but for the past two runs out the bike has not felt too good period.it idles rubbish clonking and clicking away and riding at speed is just awful.it seems to be straining somewhat and feels very vibraty and screamy so today i have checked everything that i can think of k&n filter has been cleaned and replaced same with the plugs-tyre pressures-suspension checked all the usual things realy.after all that i took it out tonight and it did feel a little better but still very much wrong idle and running.
it is very hard to describe just exactly how it felt but it just didnt feel right gear change was normal as was most everything.
it felt like i could realy screw things up if i carried on going for it.anything below 100 feels quite ok not perfect but yeah ok after that it sounds and feels very bad i havent hammered it and it seemed to just comeon overnight the things i have done to it before this happend was change the tyres back and front but it cant be that ive checked everything is on how it should be.and mucked about with those two brass screws 1 either side of the bike near the idle adjuster
it is definetley engine area at fault i tryed adjusting the idle tickover the other day and dont ask why but i unscrewed the 2 brass screws near the proper adjustment (please dont ask)thinking that it was the adjuster but noticed it didnt make a spot of difference and realised it wasnt those so i set them back exactly as they were i only moved them a 1/4 of a turn each if that.this is the only thing i can think of that could have caused this i dont know what else to add that is whats happening if i have missed anything please ask me.
i am getting realy realy stressed out over this latest problem because it is now hitting territory where i do not want to be.could it be now all out of balance??TDC and things like that and maybe needs all carbs and idle setting up properley i did adjust the idle but too be honest i think ive cocked up big style could this cause the problem ????please help us out if anyone can i am just stumped now.sorry for any grammer errors im not good at writng when im flustered.

Is it a mechanical sound you are hearing or an off-balanced feeling

Could you have trapped or stretched a throttle cable somewhere?

Don't think the brass screws have too much effect at anything above tickover but if the throttle adjusters are even a bit out it will run like a pig. So start by getting a twinmax or similar and check the throttles are balanced.

Maybe the motronic has gone on to a different mapping. You might want to reset it by disconnefcting the battery, reconnect, ignition on but don't start the motor, twist throttle full on & off twice, switch off, switch on and start her up.

Hope someone technical comes along in a minute.

As Julian has already said you need a TwinMax,to get the bike anything like you haven't got a prayer without one,the other thing?? you haven't got duff fuel have you, mine runs crap on anything but Optimate.

The other thing who did the tyres??? I've had tyres fitted and balanced and had weights put on,haven't been happy and gone somewhere else they moved the tyre round and done away with nearly all the weight and it's still been spot on and i could tell the difference when i rode it..

What JK and Chris said - set yourself a baseline to work from. A Twinmax is a Very Good Invesment - properly balanced TB's make the biggest difference to the bike, more than anything else in my experience.

I use the carbtune also.It is not as easy to use as the twinmax, but be patient and you will be rewarded.Get a couple of damping valves if you can,the little clear plastic tube they supply is crap.I got mine from the local hospital of a oxygen cylinder, some old bugger is now gasping for air.But hey needs must!Shafty! How do you mean? You do know its actually shaft driven! :o OK i just thought id check first

what yer mean shaft drive wheres my chain i cant see it no wonder it isnt going well
nah serious it just felt coggy/geary back end sort of feeling thing when i could finaly take it out on sunday over to cadwell i could near enuff get a feel of the bike without the awful windy weather.motorworks said the bearings must have gone.it kinda feels as if the back wheel is coming inward when you push it hard.but ill get the balancing act out of the way first and the eltrical fault sorted oh so much more to do and so little time and the mot was yesterday.
