Can anyone advise where I can get a good cylinder compression tester ? I am looking for a good quality one that gives accurate readings.
Cheers

screwfix do one that seems to be the same as the one I use - it screws in instead of using just a rubber bung like the (cheaper) gunsons one from halfords. Plus, it's got sufficient reach.

Thanks folk's
I'll follow that up. I reckon doing an annual compression is as good a indicator as any to monitor the wear of the engine.

Don't forget to hold the throttle open when you test the compression - otherwise you could get a disappointingly low result, and end up regrinding valves and replacing piston rings etc. Course, I'd never make that mistake...
