Now that's what I call a loan bike!

I haven't posted this under Boxerpix, because it's not a Boxer, but...

Somebody at John Clark Tayside must like me, because they loaned me this for a couple of days while my Boxer is in for some routine gubbins.

"Power-to-weight ratio" would have some relevance if this thing had any weight - in fact it's remarkably light. When you open the throttle on a Boxer, you bend it to your will; when you open the throttle on this thing the first couple of times, all you can think is "Que puta madre!" as you rupture your Adam's apple! Somewhere in the first few miles you realise how smooth the engine is, how you can't rely on engine-braking, and how you don't need to work the box (once I was on the move I scarcely needed to shift below 4th).

The Laser made a lovely sound. I could get used to riding one of these.

Be careful Luke, don't be tempted by the Dark side!!

Know what you mean. borrowed a K1200S a while back. F**k me, it was quick. Might as well hand the license in now!

Stunning piece of kit all the same.

Good to see you today M-o-M. JC's gave me a K1200S, unfortunately only for today, but I put enough miles on it to decide I don't like it.

Well, that's not strictly true, but I've been telling myself that all day.

In any case, I think I would give my licence a fortnight with one of those.

Was that you I saw coming the other way along the Riverside, about 3.15, then? :D

Oh, they found I had been ear-holing so much on the Boxer that I had worn down the sides of my tyres - I get to keep the K an extra day!

Nope, wasn't me. I work in Larbert, home of the rain-gods, and didn't leave there until 4:00 to high-tail it back to Clooty City.

What's up now M-o-M? You don't seem to having a lot of luck.
