While waiting delivery of the new R1200S, the Multistrada traded in and parked at the dealer, they gave me this ugly pig of a bike. Collegues informed, a bit worried, if this was the new bike I ranted about..... Ofcourse I denied everything and sustained that this piece of &#_)*& must be someone else's bike.
Gee, the guy who designed it did so in three nights: the first night he was still sober, the second he was drunk and the third he tripped on XTC or whatever kind of chemical drug!
The engine is good though; lot's of torque. Wind protection also; easy to maintain a 140 mph cruisin speed. Strange positioning though: legs folded up like on a supersport, upper body straight up like on a touring bike. Suspension too soft (even with almost max. damping), slow steering (even after bringing the back up by maximizing the rear preload), very soft comfortable (gel?) seat. In short: hardly any Sport and a lot of Touring
But what does it all matter when a bike is as ugly as the R1200ST!
