Ohlins Upper Bracket Bolt - how have you tackled this?

Finally getting around to fitting the rear shocker and I've hit a problem.

The upper bracket doesn't align the same way as the original so the bolt won't go in flush.

I'll take a photo in a bit to illustrate.............

All suggestions welcome (well you know, within reason)

Think I've found the answer - on a GS site actually!!

The Ohlins original kit comes with a replacement bolt
M10*70

I'm guessing I can't just buy an off the shelf bolt as I'd guess the thread length will be important :?:

So, now I'll have to order one of those. Bugger! :(

Any ideas on where to go to for this part 00439-09?

Sorry but i don`t understand, my shock went in with no hassle and i just used a ti replacement bolt the same size as the bm one that came out. linkage bolts from pro bolt did the trick.

Thanks for that. :salute:

Ti on order from Pro

Solved problem by jacking up the back end to compress and raise the shock in the mounting bracket.

Helped by a small amount of persuasion (mallet)

I was getting a little frustrated there angry9:
