8:45 round the 'Ring yesterday....on a Buell

Yep - an XB12, in fact. Keeps getting kinda light on the back when heavy on the brakes.

Topped an unbelievable 189mph on the long straight just before the finish (don't know the names yet). Just before I crashed in fact, where it goes over the rise and round to the left - guess it got a little light. That was the fourth time that lap I ended up on my back.

Man, that Tourist Trophy on PS2 is fun!

Anyone got any other good bike games?

You're right - it's a cracking game, but it demands months of dedicated practice. I had enough trouble getting a race licence, let alone competing!
IMHO the best driving games are still the Colin McCrae series on PS2.

Ps Not sure how many videogamers you'll find on Boxertrix :laughing6:

It's not a game - it's track preparation! I'm fine at Laguna but I doubt I'll ever get there.

I wasn't so impressed with McRae 2 (or was it 3.0? can't remember now) but we (me and my lad) just got v4 and it's cracking. Hardly a straight in sight and you really have to concentrate on it. The cars are all a bit same-y though, whereas on the Gran Tourismo series you can tell the differences in setups, layouts, tweaks etc far better.

You may be right about the gamers on here - not exactly the right demographic. My 7yo helps keep me young (whilst wearing me out). What a great excuse for playing on the slides at waterparks!

I got TT - great game - but demands too much time. I just have a blast around the Ring on the 1200ST every now and then to help try and learn it for my wee trip in September. I can get the ST around in 8 minutes dead at the minute - 7.40 on the race spec blade.

I'll be taking it easier in real life though - don't fancy smashing my pride and joy up

Anybody tried the Isle of Man TT simulator games? Are they worth bothering with? I could do with some practice for this summer! :glasses7:

PS 2
moto gp 4
tourist trophy
TT

The best being tourist trophy for realism ,followed by moto gp.The graphics on the TT aint a patch on the others. The graphics dont matter when your in the zone doing the full course though.Man, the concentration needed on a 125 is knackering enough!
Have some good nights getting pissed and stoned with my brotherinlaw playing a full GP season. He is a biker also ,so the results and racing are very very close. We are exactly the same when we,ve done trackdays together. Blokes eh!
The ring on tourist trophy is mental, especially on a litre bike!
Need to have a go at that one day.

Colin McRae 4 is the muts nuts. :D Better than CM5 by a long way. Sport Quattro is awesome

TT Superbikes..I think!...I've never managed to do a full lap of the TT course as I can't get past one of the qualifying rounds. Need more practice but I get sick to death of missing the qualifying time by a second each time.

Mrs Nu2 is also a real big fan of PS2...not

Down to 8:18 on the Buell. How you get down to 7:50 I don't know - I keep decking it out round the corners and/or crashing after getting too flighty on the bumps.

I daren't attempt the TrickStar ZX10 race bike I've got - I think it'd be too much and I'd be slower not faster.

Mind you, the TZ125 is real fast for a tiddler, just sneeze and it tips into corners. Can't catch the lead TZ250 in challenge mode to win one of them .... yet!!

Struggling to get 7.50

Are you using the race buel or non race buel??

On the long straights with slight bends don't go flat out because you will fall off. 9/10ths required. Falling off does lose you quite a lot of time.

Keep it smooth(ish) and don't out brake yourself.

I got 7.49 on the BMWK1200S and 7.44 on some monster race rep thing but that all felt quite flighty and skippy. good fun though :D

Last one was the race Buell - down to 8:15 now!

Did three laps on the road Buell: 8:48.137, 8:48.237 and 8:45.xxx - pretty consistent!

Starting to recognise parts of the course, particularly the entry to some of the nastier corners. Still bouncing around though and noticed that you get air twice after the Karussel!

I'm finding it better to stay wide and miss the concrete banking around those two bends; what say you?

Not tried anything stupidly fast yet.

Won against the Viffer on the 1200ST last night. Not sure it sounds like a boxer though.
