I know this topic may have been covered before but can anyone give me the details of any companies who supply rebuildable front & back shockers for the 11.

Ohlin,White Power,Wilbers,importantly all ways think about haveing to sell e'm at a later date,buy a good'un with a remote preload,separate compression and rebound ajustment.

If you want to do you own thing talk to hagon,but by the time you've put all the bells and whistles they ain't cheap either

They all are if you ask,the problem being do you know what you want,ie if you ride two up don't go buying an Ohlin with a stock 150 spring,but that ain't being technical it's common sense.

What kind of price range are we talking about for both the front and back ?

still very happy with my EMC shocks that were made and set up for me, a search through posts will find Tim Roses details and you can do front and rear for about £600 all in. I believe there are a couple of other trixters who have fitted them as well. You can fit them yourself or pay him £50 and he will install and set up sag etc. He is from an engineering and endurance racing background, the afternoon I spent with him was fascinating

Christ Tripe....thats some price for shock absorbers. God I must be getting old ! No doubt they are the bee's knee's but that's one heck of a price. I know these things ain't cheap but there must be good rebuildable units for less than that. I don't intend to sell the bike so these units are going to be it ie must last at least 100K with rebuilds.

Scotty, I went for EMC for two reasons, the poisitive comments on this site and at £600 they were substantially cheaper than using Wilbers or Ohlins. Oh and a third reason, I decided that a rider of my ability wouldn't be able to feel any difference if I boght an even better/expensive shock

600 quid for both shocks!!!,thats boardering on the cheap and nasty,and anyway who needs a front!!!

I do genuinely question whether the extra 300 for posher shocks with a nice label would have felt better to me.
A comparison is needed.
Winger as a rider with far more experience than me perhaps you would like to take my S for a spin and share some feedback between Ohlins and EMC?

Any time you like but who's going to be sat on the back,you or my wife!!!,rideing one up is no test of a road shock.

Has yours got a remote reservoir??,cuz if it ain't just means it'll get it's nickers in a twist a lot quicker,bottom line being,if you don't ride it all that fast,or all that far it don't matter,but in which case a stock shock will do.

I ran a Hagon shock on an FJ1200 years ago,it was better than a stocker,but wouldn't hold a candle to an Ohlins,same old story ya get what ya pay for,but then some will say do ya need it!!!

To be honest you read reams of tosh about squeezing another 1/2hp out of the motor,but finding that magic suspension set up that works bang on,there's now't like it.

Winger your spot on its the setting that makes the bike come alive not the name on the shock.I went for a ride wednesday with setup in mind and after a fews stops to twidle the shocks i have found a setting that works on the crap roads we have round here and the few nice bits he have too. Yes the shocks are ohlins but setup wrongly they could be anything ,you would not know till you looked at them.

Who told you that ??? I didn't think you'd have any idea of prices since you always barter your stuff

it's easy to barter with a pair of yer grannies tights over yer head and a sawn off pointed over the counter......them post offices were a great training ground
