Rocker cover protection (BCR) - replacement options

Right ... rhetorical question ... if I were to, er, have dropped my BCR (2002) at 1mph (slight over-exageration but trying to look manly - luckily no damage to leathers but quite a lot to pride) whilst paddling it to another parking space then what would be the best bet for making things look good again?
I have a damaged right-hand carbon (looks so nice 'til it's broke!) rocker cover protector which has whacked it's screws (the ones holding the ever-so-pretty titanium slider in place) into the casing.
Very happy to discover that the protectors are quite a bit more expensive than what is being protected
I could replace the lot - at surely huge cost from BM - or was thinking of fitting the necessary bits to make the rocker covers "standard" with the common

plastic protection. I think I need inserts to cover the plugs and fill in the gap in the cover and then a protector set ...
Any ideas on the bits I need and where to get them from. E.g. is Motorworks the best bet?
Cheers,

Normal rocker covers from BMW are only approx 60 quid each, as it the one for the BCR. The carbon bits are a horrific 275 or so each.
Sandbar used to do a set of carbon rocker covers , as him if he still does?
There are covers on ebay every now and then, from germany

Indeed there are covers (and heads) from a member of this illustrious forum on that there auction site with some ridiculous (cheap or expensive, depending on your opinion) start price. Are they still on the 'Bits 'n' bobs' list?

If you do your home work there are several options, actually i tell a lie, maybe half a dozen, all depends on you wanting to keep the bike original or making it different.

Only thinking about when I come to sell it really ... think I'll get the original bits and keep them safe (i.e. away from my clumsy a*se) ... I like the Sandbar/Ilberger stuff of course.
So if anyone is in the market for a left-hand rocker cover and BCR carbon "protector" let me know
Or a right-hand rocker cover with a screw head mark in it and a tiny bit of cooling fin missing for that matter.
Cheers, Lee.

hmmm... I had this same dilema a few months back. Dropped it on the RH side. Desparate to get back to prestine before brother (from whom I purchased said bike) saw it in less than perfect condition, shot up to Pidcocks and bought a new cover (gulp) with promises to self to be more careful in future.
Month later dropped it on the LH side (F**k).
Managed to buy a couple of brand new carbon covers in original packaging from a chump on Ebay who did'nt know what he had for £200 the pair

. Only needed the LH side but knowing my recent history thought it might be good to have a spare RH:?
So the way I look at it I now have a pair of slightly damaged covers for trackdays, touring, etc

Ha ha ... don't tempt me Sandbar

Lovely kit though.
Going with the Nu2Beemers idea ... got a 2nd-hand set of BCR covers and rocker covers themselves too ... just in case I am REALLY clumsy.
Will keep as spares.

Nigel,
Is that a race shift gear linkage set-up I spy on the bike used in those photos?
Is that a price each of per pair?
Not that I'm suitably rich at the moment.

The price for the Rocker Cover Covers are for the pair (the complete kit), but the price for the Rocker Covers are each!
