There was a feature on the bits you can buy for the R1200S, with lots of carbon goodies and stuff.
Don't buy it, just read it at the "library" like everyone does!!
Had to try and ignore it..too much temptation..

WOWEEEE!!!!

Quite a spread. 8)

Nothing to do with me - it was as a result of a press release from Ilmberger.

From what I know, the references to the HP version are entirely spurious.

Just shows the power of advertising in MCN. Best part of two editorial pages and it resulted in all of three phone calls  - including one from an existing customer.

I'm terribly afraid it may be more to do with the number of us buying (or not buying) R1200Ss, and the cash left when we do. I had to lose my mother and inherit a house... enough said... :(

Having said that, I made the awful mistake of buying a belly pan from boxerdesign, a firm in Germany with whom I have had good relations up to now (but a number of technical problems). We are still wrangling about who pays for the return carriage, and frankly, I will not be patronising them again (es tut mir leid, Eddy).

I now have an Ilmberger bottom-half from Sandbar, and I am delighted with it! I hope to save up for a few more goodies. :)

M-o-M

PS to Sandbar - I decided the 'Sandbar' decals would, in fact, probably look better on the paddock stand. I might get some smaller ones, in black, made up for the hump of my bike.
