Why is it that when the weather looks as if it might be getting a bit cooler that you can't find your winter gloves?

I need to invest in a new pair anyway - for protection and wamrth, any favourites? Anyone tried the Rider ones from Infinity?

I like the stuff that this Italian company do.Some good designs and quality manufacturing. Problem is that only one shop I know imports their stuff and they don't stock the complete range (but will order stuff in).

I can highly recommend the Racer gloves from Infinity.

I have the Premium which are pretty warm and all leather, and the Pluvio which are leather/cordura/kevlar - ridiculously warm, and entirely waterproof.

Both are Goretex, good quality, and easily the best winter gloves I've ever had. Theyt were expensive when originally at over £100, but they're now £70 which I think is good value.

Bandit Bikes in E1 (Nelson St) can get (and have some stock) of the Tucano Urbano gear. Looks alright to me. Some very stylish scooterist clothes.

Yeah....but they do the 'hard biker type stuff too!!

Bailey,.. yes bandit Bikes do stock Tucano Stuff, .. and so do places like 'Scooter Den' etc (not that i've ever been in Scooter Den of course), .. why not try a pair of furry Tucano Muffs, .. much favoured by the Brazilian Couriers who react badly to the cold, .. then you can stick with your fingerless summer gloves etc. Alternatively,.. try and get a pair of 'Tank Commander Gloves' from army surplus, .. not stylish but warm, dry and useable.

£72 poorer but toasty warm fingers with my Racer Pulvios. Should solve the regular failing of left hand heated grip as i suspect they won't need turning on now

Perhaps I should change from Asda gardening gloves (100% leather)?

Trouble is, they come in a variety of sexy colours...though they do leave your hands red...or blue...or green...but only after a really heavy downpour. Still, pretty disposable at the price.

Has anyone tried (got enough money for) the new Rukkas or those Dainese waterproof gloves?

Don't know about the enough money bit right enough

I've got the Dainese winter glove thingies if you mean the ones with the armour hidden under the exterior covering. They're goretex and have a double cuffed entry which has drains built in so the water off your sleaves doesn't get inside the glove and it allows you to tuck em in to keep the wind out. Very toasty and comfy, never tested the protection but I suspect the material is much more resilient than it looks. They look fab very smoooth

I've tried the Rukka ones as my mate hs a pair and they're excellent too, just a little bit more puffy feeling if that makes sense

I have a pair of Gore Tex gloves from BMW. Boy, are they waterproof! Under heavy rain conditions, they fill up with water, and not one single drop leaks out!
