Failed LH heated grip

On my Y reg 1100s, the left hand heated grip has given up. I commute daily and havejust started using it again this last week or so. They symptom started with it warming up more slowly and as of yesterday, no heat at all.

Anyone else experienced similar and any clues as to repairs I might be able to attempt at home?

its happened to me 3 years ago and also two weeks ago. Apparently common symptom of left grip as it gets grip pressure more. Only fix I know is to replace it. Take off tuperware, lift tank folow wire and fit in reverse

There are some things in this world which are guaranteed...

It gets light in the mornings, and dark at night.

The l/h grip is always the first one to go u/s on an R1100S.
