Dropped it ...

While pulling it out the shed, lost my grip on it and it tipped over to the other side. Had to 'lay' it against a pole .... with my thumb stuck between the bike and the pole. What to do .... though choice .... pulled out my thumb and then watched how it slowely decended to the ground along the pole .... leaving a trace like scratch on its black skin ... :(

How come that even on a not so shiny, yes even a bit shaggy, bike like mine, it still hurts (not only me thumb) when a new scratch mark is added? .... Must be love/respect/affection ... :?

The damage is not that big that I would consider to do a full paint job. Any of you guys have experience in camouflage techniques?

Nail varnish or Humbrol paint applied with a modeller's brush.

It just adds to the beauty - if it looks perfect then it hasn't been used properly

You have my SYMPATHY :(

About 15 years ago, due to a lapse of concentration, I dropped a Pearl Silver K100RS 16v against my garage wall. It was probably the most beautiful looking bike I ever owned and was immaculate. The impact smashed the top of the fairing - I cried. It must have mentally scarred me as I still feel sad now when I think about it!

Bite the bullet and get it fixed when you can, or else the scratch will jump out at you every time you look at the bike.
