According to todays comic the much anticipated R1200S HP version has been further delayed as a result of 'unsolvable' engine woes. As a result BMW have allegedly asked Porsche to lend a hand in curing these 'unsolvable' problems. I thought 'unsolvable' meant couldn't be solved???
Anyway, looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer before joining the 1200 club.

Gents if you do your history, there have been 4 quick boxer motors, the San Jose one,the Das Boxer one, which is the Factory jobbie run in the guise of a private team so when it goes bang the shit doesn't stick to the factory, the Pac Parts one, which i have a gut feeling is very close to the factory version and then you have Rudy Ottenhoff who probably makes the fastest one of the lot,but also has a habit of going bang!!! as all flat boxer twins do when you tune e'm to much,as they found with the Das Boxer bike and the the factory are now haveing wash their collective linen in public!!!.
porsche will sort it out. they know what their doing. they fiddled with what was origionally a renault 1.7ltr petrol and it ended up in my volvo somewhat fettled, turbocharged and quite good fun. for a car. ahh, the 480 turbo, i quite liked that old beast, but I guess not too everyones taste. Thats probably why I now have an 1100s. Its good to be a bit different
