new feature - warm cruise control

Post by dave2wheels »

haven't used the heated bar grips for a while but as it was a bit nippy this morning (head in low freezing mist) so i decided it was time to turn up the heat :)
while cruising up the A3 from Guildford I did't really back off the throttle till the first speed camera so was surprised to find the throttle was on auto cruise  .
(should I have put this under the technical section?)
more testing proved it was sticking until the grips cooled down, interesting you don't usually get more features than you paid for with the BM
Dave

PS thanks for the lowdown on the NEC not too bothered about going now, guess I'll do my internet shopping instead

I had that problem on my GS when I fitted a throttle lock - it stuck even with the lock off! If you can't tweak it any other way, remove the end weight, slide a thin washer onto the bolt, and replace.
