Whoah I got that close.... to giving up biking!

About two years I was working away from home, it was winter and I didn't really have time to ride the S. I just got out of the habit of riding and the bike stayed in the garage. I came really close to flogging it a couple of times and the only thing that put me off was the rubbish 2nd hand values the £2.5k I was going to get wasn't really going to alter my life that much! Then this summer I started working in Central London. I'm biking to work and loving it...I've even started going out on it on my days off again. I called in on Vines at Guildford this weekend for a coffee. As you know BMW have launched a whole new range of bikes in the last couple of years. I looked at them all for a while then I thought "Nah thanks I'm really happy with what I've got" (that nice black T reg R1100S out in the car park).
So guys the moral of this tale is; if you're in a boring relationship, don't give up, you can rekindle that spark of excitement between you and soon every time feels like the first time...baby.

thought about trading in my S a few times this summer, trade in values were definitely a downer so spent a bit on it instead. After new suspension, tyres and lennies it was like having a new bike. Four days riding the lovely roads of Normandy made me realise that after a modest three years of owning my s and riding it everyday that it is a great bike and that it still has so much to offer.
I just wish I could find more time to ride it
SJ power filter arrived via a friend last night, looking forward to seeing what the difference will be ....again
