Transportation to Spain

Hi Folks

I may be forced to transport my bike from the UK to Spain (rather than ride it down)... does anyone know of a good company who could do this for me. I have tried a few specialists on the web.... average cost £1000. Seems steep to me, but they tend to rely on more that one bike at a time to reduce this.

Any thoughts?

A grand is the going rate,i know someone who's got to collect a Ducati from Berlin same price,Lloyd(Boxerpan) maybe able to help when comes of his holiday.

Without doubt cheepest option is to pay someone to ride it,and fly e'm home, cuz what puts the price up is crateing it up.

If Roger won't do it I will - just need travelling expenses covered. Has to be this month though as I start a new job (some might say a proper job  ) in September.

Hi all,

Thank you for your offers.

I am still exploring other ideas...Obviously I would like to travel myself ... if only to get use to the bike.

When I posted the thread I did not think I would get offers from the forum...(Joking or otherwise) It is very nice to know that ther are folks out there who are prepared to help.

Cheers

Stuart :D  :bounce:

Hmm, reality check here. Geta insurance quote for a named rider to Spain first. That said, ferry down to Santander, ride to destination, cheapy flight back to bilghty, odd taxi & train fare. You'd do best part of £500 I'd bet, and that before you buy the cases of Rioja............. :D :D

You could try this guy we use him a lot to transport our cars to Europe.

G&S Classic 01388.720395 the guy is called Geoff, mention Bob from Gentry Restorations and you may get a better deal.

Thanks again for all your help and Offers.

Madman... that is a very niced offer. This trip If I do it will be via the ferry to Santander, then its only 557 miles to my house there. But If ever I'M up your way I will pop in and see you... very kind
