Do boating points go on your driving licence or has Brussels not got around to that one yet?

4mph.... walking pace.... thats as quick as I can get my bike to go at the minute!!

Did you get canal rage then? And start overtaking people?

Or did you get home to find a NIP from british waterways on the mat?

No,I was shouted at by a guy on a private boat. I think my wash rocked his boat, spilling his gin & tonic. There are actually radar traps on the rivers now, and apparently the river police can breathalize you.I dont think they can put points on your driving licence. It is a great stress relieving holiday, everyone is chilled out,and very polite and helpful.Unlike most road users.Pubs are frequent, welcoming with excelent food and drink. What more could you want.Anyone who thinks it is boring should try mooring up stern on in a gale on a fast flowing river.

A holiday without fast flowing water since my skills at lifesaving are somewhat limited and one of the kids (or me) are bound to fall in

Lloyd,
neither me or Gwen can swim a stroke and we have been on the Broads about 6 times without incident. I supose the first time we fall in may well be the last! Everyone is supplied with a life jacket.(No one wore one) The fast flowing water is only near to the mouth of the rivers.
