I'm kicking myself for selling the KTM660SMC & missing the big single experience. Anyone know about these chaps? A London Gentleman surely needs an exotic rat bike to compliment his S.
Or is my money better spent on a PCIII & braided hoses?
Cheers
Julian

For Sale. Yam TT600R '99 Model.
This is the big offroader model not the newer electric start commuter crap, This has the Ohlins suspenders and Brembo brakes. Kick Start only and she is very tall so if your heads a little close to the ground you may have difficulties. Just had MOT and new pads. Can opened up and airbox snorkel removed, then rejetted, she goes well. Bought it to Supermoto it but now funds are running out and i ALWAYS spend a fortune on converting SM's. £1500 or swap for something interesting, sports bike, trials bike, quad, drugs etc.... Edit Now has a 2" bore Quill race can, great mid range, and sounds like a thunderstorm!

Just to clarify, the Yam TT600R ad is from a chap on Visordown. I was thinking of buying it as a knock around bike perhaps with a view to converting to a Supermoto with a nice set of black Excel wheels and Gold Talon hubs. I don't know anything about them apart from looking a bit mad.
Separately, I'm also considering a PCIII for the S.
Chris - did yours come with the wideband sensor or are you just running with a map off your dyno results? PDQ are selling them at 379 quid for the PCIII 920 611 (USB with fuel wideband sensor).
p.s. I can get just the PCIII from San Jose BMW for US$479 = about 270 quid excluding the sensor (provided it doesn't get taxed through customs).
For those interested, the PCIII fitting instructions can be found HERE and HERE

Hi Jules
Bike wise, the old Yamaha takes some beating once your under 2 grand, bikes are worth what you pay or sell e'm for, although if you look a on e-bay you can get an XT660x for a grand on top of that and you don't need to do anything to it!!.
If you go the TT route, just have a good look around there has been a glut of e'm so you might find you can get a 2003/4 for 2 grand.
The PC comes with all the bells and whistles,Bosch lamba censor etc,Now!! not sure if both Lloyd and I got lucky, but both of us run different set ups and niether could be improved on the dyno, there was only a 3hp difference,so i'd say you can just plug it in,the only hassle being were you put the wires, took several attempts untill i'd got everything tucked away.

Not sure the wiring is capable of standing up to year round riding with wet and crap flying about, looks to be several exposed sectionsthat wouldn't cope. I stand to be corrected by the passing of time/miles - but probably not on my limited outingswinger wrote: The PC comes with all the bells and whistles,Bosch lamba censor etc,Now!! not sure if both Lloyd and I got lucky, but both of us run different set ups and niether could be improved on the dyno, there was only a 3hp difference,so i'd say you can just plug it in,the only hassle being were you put the wires, took several attempts untill i'd got everything tucked away.

I'm only familiar with the 600 in Tenere Guise,.. but they are all from the same 'family', right upto the new 660. It will possibly be a grey import which i think were like the TRX850s', ... complete with Brembo's and trick-Suspension etc as standard. If it's 'sound',.. it'll be a total blast. The engines can be tuned if required and spares will be available courtesy of the former 'Supermono Racing Series' etc.
Whatever,... a big, rude, 600 trailie with hot brakes and wide bars, ... you bloody hooligan, .. go enjoy it.
