I was washing the bike the other day and noticed that a screw was missing...and then I noticed two were missing...and then I forgot about it...
Having just checked out a nearby GS (after doing another 1000 miles), I believe I have lost said screws...
Location: Under the cylinder head there's a smaller extension into the middle of the casing (no idea what's going on, or what it is, etc) ...this is held to the casing by three small bolts... I appear to be missing the leading, slightly upper bolt under both cyclinders...
Whilst I will endeavour to replace said objects:
1. Do they work their way out sometimes?
2. It wouldn't be part of a service or anything (ie. someone forgot to put them back or back properly...though I can't imagine why given their location)?
3. Have I been dicing with death?
Thanks in advance,
John

On my wifes bike which is single spark with head protectors, this bolt holds the protector.
On my bike with twin spark, it holds the lower plug cover. I would assume that if your bike is single spark without head protectors then it will be unused.
