Screens

Post by Lightrunner »

After my recent trip on the S I've realised that I'd like to try some different screens. The bike is currently fitted with a non-standard screen that from memory is a lower profile one than the standard S screen.

I've trawled through the older posts and people have recommended quite strongly to not go for the higher BMW screen but I wondered what people are using if not using the standard S screen and how they get on with it?

Cheers

I have a standard screen that you can have. It is heavily sandblasted from an off into the gravel trap, so it's not really a looker. I'm 6'1" and always found the stock screen fine.

(you can finally pick up the map pocket tank bag!)

very nice.... I like what you did there :)

thanks for the offer though... would be nice to try the stock again just to get the comparison back.

I'll dig through the PM's and get your address again.... would you be around this weekend?

Cheers pal,

I've found your address so I'll check with the misses and arrange to come over a time that's good for both of us. I'll probably give you a quick ring just to confirm the money for the tank bag before heading over.

Err! I think that I said £12. It was only about £25 - £28 'ish when I bought it. Give me a call but I will be there Sat Am definiately, but I don;t know about the other days yet. Early is no bother as I've got young 'uns who will be up watching Nickleodeon from about 5.30am. The screen will easy bungee on or fit in a rucksack.

Sounds good to me, I remembered it being £12 too but wanted to check.
If it's ok with you I'll probably aim to be with you between 8:45 - 9:00

The wife's got a lovely series of 'little jobs' lined up for me so it'd help me to be able to pick it up earlish and enjoy the ride over and back. Mine don't watch Nickleodeon yet but CBeebies more than it's fair share of airtime in our house so early works well for me too.

I'll send you a txt if anything goes badly wrong my end and if you need to get in touch I'm on 07801 418206

I'll introduce you to our babysitter, she's called Sky, bloody marvellous she is. Although we recently decided to use her older sister Sky Plus.
