heat shield for pannier rails

heat shield for pannier rails

hi all

just went to fit the pannier rails (the top plastic bit)do i keep the exhaust shield on the left hand side as it seems impossible to have the pannier rail on as well the shield or is it just very fiddley any help info appreaciated

Nah,
Remove it when using pannier rails.

Jason,
That little bit of heat shield is there to stop you burning yourself if you have the lifting handle fitted. Removed both to fit my rails.
