Is a Cat worth anything?

I have a almost new standard cat in my garage (it had done about 500 mile before I took it off and fitted the Laser Y section). It is a bit of a lump and is taking up space in my garage. Is it actually worth anything? I don't want to go through the hassle of ebay only to make tenner or so. If that's all it's worth then I'd rather dump it. Anyone know if it actually has any value? I just want rid of it really.

Thats amazing, I have 2 of those things in my garage. One has done 1000 miles and the other 20,000. I suspect that its one of those items that no one throws away an there must be hundreds of them laying about in garages.
If I didn't have a huge garage I would just take it down the dump, as you say I don't think it is worth the effort to bother with ebay.

Thought that might be the case. If anyone wants one let me know otherwise is going out.

My mate who works at the local exhaust and tyre place reckons there are some precious metals inside the cat and some enterprising 'travellers' are happy to rip them apart to sell on. He reckons he could get £20... must get my dead CAT down there

Having said that there are a small number of people who run standard and would pay for a little used CAT to replace their dead one - I was one of those people and paid £25

I seem to be collecting the damm things, At the last count I had 2 x 1100s 1 x 1150rs and 1 x 1200gs c/w header pipes sat in the garage!! Anyone want to make an offer? Think that there are two sets of 1100s end cans and a 1200gs end can kicking about in there, No wonder I'm running out of space for the bike!!!!

Peter.

yeah, I have a standard cat, it resides on my bed or on the settie most of the time, I actually find it quite good for relaxation so I would keep it rather than putting it on Ebay, the RSPCA may come after you if you do that!

Couldn't resist

Derek,

I don't really want to go throught the hassle of boxing it up to be honest. It's a bit of a pain. I'm in Epsom (Surrey), so not too far away. If you want it you're welcome to have it F.O.C

Guys,

there is an Indian restaurant in Keswick who would buy all the cats you have.

Reg, I see that restaurant left a lasting impression on you, your not one to hold a grudge are you? you wont set me up at Burton will you? I know it was all my idea so I probably deserve some treatment.
(note to self, only eat what Reg eats at Burton)

The only thing I can guarantee is that it will not be Indian. I think everyone will enjoy the "eat as much as you can" Chinese on the Saturday night. Friday night is traditionally Fish & Chips so that is a possibility, but I am open to suggestions. As I remember it, most of you were not impressed by the Keswick Indian experience, and I definately dont hold anyone to blame, except India.
