After 250 miles, and exploring the Dynamic settings on suspension and motor my verdict is that the RS is very sophisticated. I like it a lot. It most definitely will be coming to Wales.
Well Done Gawaine. A very savvie choice of BMW. It was pointed out that BMW made a massive effort to make the 2023 R1250`s different, aside from the best colour scheme , they changed the indicators

Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

Emissions. I reckon it is still proportional to the bike though and tbqh the original chrome/ satin ones have a pleasant character to them and are a quality fabrication. They do eat up a bit of pannier space though.

Saw one at Douglas Park last week when I took first the r and then the XR for services. Very nice looking bike I gotta say and the can is better for seeing
