ECU

Post by Topcat »

Hello all,

It appears that the ECU on my R1200S has blown, think it was the power commander. Bike is in my local dealer in Taunton but they can't find a replacement one, tried Motorworks.

Does anyone know somewhere that can re write them or any other sources for a replacement one?

Cheers

Thanks for the link Humbug, just spoke to the chap and he's asked Graham from the bike shop to call him. Graham has another ECU that needs a repair.

I'll let you know what happens

If that doesn't work out for you. Call Andy at J33 Developments. Its just off the M6 at, you've guessed it, J33. His contact number is 07742 491202. He has a 1200 S and has made a custom map for the ECU in his own bike. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.

Quick update, bike is back up and running.

The chap from the link that Humbug posted got hold of another ECU and cloned mine to it. Power commander is now removed and I've still to re fit the Lambda probes, which I'll do when stops raining! It seemed to run a bit rough so hoping the the probes will help. It hasn't run in nearly 6 mths so that's probably a reason as well.

Cheers

PS, Graham from the dealer said he was very good to deal with, no issues at all.
