Yep that'd be about right. Plenty of duck-oil or plus gas etc etc. Then go for a run to get it up to temp. It'll ease right out then, just mind you don't burn the crap out your forearm whilst removing it. ( Ask me how I know about that ! )

thanks very m,uch. i will have to put it back together and run the bike up. its wayyy too tight even with enough force to start to knurl the nut.
Will have another go but am almost in the frame of mind just to leave the damned thing on

Use a heat gun(paint stripper) about a tenner from B+Q,getting Gus's of was the worsed one i'd come across but with plenty of heat it soon came of.
