Loose disc

Post by cc mac »

Last night checked my right front disc for movement and I noticed I can move it slightly from side to side. I am not talking about flexing here, there definately seems to be some play there. Could this be the broken washer scenario mentioned elsewhere? There is no play in the left disc. I am going to buy some decent torx sockets today to investigate further. The washers on my disc look different (solid not wavy) to the ones shown in the pics 'Check your discs folks'. Could this be the reason why this disc has been squeaking from 10 to 0 mph for nealy two years?

This will be the problem.

When you replace them do both discs and if you dont have the thin shim washers behind the discs buy them as well.
