hello
just bought a boxer cup r1100s 2003 and the quick release thing that holds the fairings together is not complete
looks like the previous owner had trouble with it and stuck it down with blue tac
so its missing some pieces and I cant find any pictures to know what it should look like complete

so any help would be appreciated . or is blue tac the norm ?

Do you mean the parts shown below as 4 & 18?

If memory serves me correctly, there is a rubber collar around the lower part of #4, which is compressed top to bottom when you push the lever down, thus increasing the circumference and locking it in place in the frame.
