Bevel box / propshaft. The way they line up

Hi Guys,
This one isn't mine, I was doing it up for a friend. I noticed that the bevel box and propshaft remain in line with each other regardless of whether the bike is on its stand or had someone on board. On mine, they only line up when the wheels are off the deck, the rest of the time the bevel box remains parallel with the ground and the propshaft does the moving about - exactly as you would expect.
I took this one out and had no problems so I let them know as I didn't have the time to do more. Aside from a seized UJ which I would expect to feel while riding it (which was not the case) any ideas?
