Apparently "BMW dealers" are no longer to refer to themselves as "dealers" and are to use "retailers" instead.
Too many bad connotations with "dealer" .... arms dealer, drug dealer etc

I guess the term "Dealer Principal" is also a casualty.
Sounds like it has gone the way of "passenger" on airlines - no such thing now - they are called "customers".
The ultimate - was the casualty of the PC brigade of...... "pupil" you now get "Teacher & Learner".....
Mind you - it will hopefully be the end of that distinctly un-funny "at my local stealers"....... Oh god - there goes another rib!
