A Ducati that I could actually ride! (maybe) I think I want one. Supersport 1000

Saw and sat on it at the NEC.
Nice bike with comfortable riding position. Bars are noticeably more relaxed than other Ducati sports and knees not too bent.
Plus they are listing it with panniers !

Reckon they might sell a few

They may well sell a few but you got to ask why not just buy a monster instead?

Because some people might want a sport tourer instead of a supernaked

Because some people might want 113hp instead of 150hp

Because some people might want to be able to hold 90ish down a French autoroute for longer than 10 minutes

Because some people might prefer the looks

Because in that case everyone that bought an R1200S may as well have bought an R 1200R

Because we're all different

I think Ducati are filling the same market as the R1200RS, which in my opinion - is returning to the old VFR/R1100s - sized sports tourers.

Touring couples wanted more comfort, load carrying etc than the VFR/R1100s, and the manufacturers responded with the larger bikes......

Now - the manufacturers are dipping their toe in the water of the "one bike to suit the afternoon solo run, and the 2 week tour" market. :?:

It will be interesting to see how the Ducati - sells

Al :)

It's something Ducati have done before, with limited success.

I'm not a Woman yet, but I am working on it.
It's a tough struggle, where you meet prejudice on every street corner.
