Dear all, as I´m new to the forum please have me excused if I´m publishing something that has been discussed already. I am about to buy a 2009 model R1200GS Adventure here in Brazil where I live. She has just 28k on the needle and is in pristine condition (all service done BMW) but I noticed some blistering of the paint on the engine block. Is this something I should worry about, will it get worse, is it just the paint or corrosion which eventually might lead to oil leaking?? Any help appreciated as I would like to close the deal and start riding - hopefully reassured that this will not turn into some minor nightmare. Cheers all.

Do not worry about it. They all do that. I thought it was road anti freeze applicants that caused that. Obviously your location proves that BMW paint system of this genre were not good. The alloy does not look pretty, however it will probably outlast the clutch, final drive mechanisms and the sub frame linkages
