I have a 05 1100s with the sport pack, it has Remus cans with sound great, my question are these cans standard BMW fitment or not?

Not on the standard 1100s, I don't believe.

2005 is the last production year, and I doubt they sold many that year. The Remus cans were fitted to the Mamola Boxer Cup, and I think - the British Boxer model (2002).

(I reckon)

No, they're not standard but I guess the previous owner might not have been the guy that fitted them so might not have known.

The only bikes that didn't have the standard silencers were the Boxer Cups which came with Laser silencers.

I think by the looks of it the press bikes in 98/99 came with Remus cans - based on Victorlazio's bike and an almost identical one (sequential number plates) I saw for sale.

I had R165RRD press bike it had standard cans (not say that when it went out to the press it had something sexier) An email I had from BMW Motorrad said that the bike had been serviced every tine it went out to press and was then re-furbished for Display purposes and then eventually sold out into the second-hand market so it could have had any number of things changed

I fitted mine myself. Hell of a job tbh, but was easier the second time when I took off the rear end and loosened up the bolts to the subframe :)

Ah my mistake! I saw another for sale with the same setup so assumed it was standard for them.

In that case, Remus cans have never been standard then
