I'm off to the TT tomorrow. A great experience as anyone who has been will know. I'm always on the look out for good new spots to watch and with a single lap covering 37. something miles it would take several lifetimes to find all the best ones.
So, in the spirit of sharing, if anyone wants to disclose their favourites, especially if they are a little bit unusual, and maybe hard to find then please do. I am happy to start with a couple of my favourites.
1. Conker Trees. A few miles before Ramsey. As you approach from Douglas side the farmer's field on the right has ample parking and a well run marquee. The length of the field allows you to walk about half a mile and view the bikes hitting the left kink around the (Conker) tree on the back wheel if they're trying. Fast for photos but a good view point.
2. Gooseneck. Above Ramsey, nice slow corner for photographs. You can walk down towards Tower Bends for some variety. On a sunny day absolutely great view of the sea and Ramsey too. Radio speakers allow you to keep track of the commentary.

You should have watched Stravros on the TT programme on ITV 4 last night they went to all the best viewing points
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity
Some of the ones I've enjoyed over the years :-
Balla - scary
Greeba bridge
Ballaig bridge
Behind the wall at Sarah's cottage up the hill after Glen Helen
13th milestone
Top of Barregarrow by X roads
Rhencullen after petrol station leaving Kirk Michael
Quarry bends after wildlife park
Kerrowmoar (if you can still walk down there) bumpyest place and sorts the men from the boys
Milntown cottage - scary fast and bumpy too.
May Hill
Guthries memorial
32nd
Hillberry
Cronk ny Mona
As well as all the usual popular places.

Cheers for the contributions.
Back after a great week. it was like the IOM had been moved to the Meditteranean for the TT. Wall to wall sunshine for 7 days.
Used
Glen Helen for Friday practise ( midges were a right pain, viewing point ace)
Creg-ny-Baa ( double decker bus parked next to the pub) for Saturday. Great view but paid for tickets so you'd expect that.
Barregarrow and Hailwoood Rise for Monday - in the hedges, superb and scorching hot on the Mountain.
Signpost Corner for Wednesday morning . Great welcome from the householder and £2.50 for a bacon bap. Got from there to bottom of Bray Hill and Nobles Park for reminder of the day.
The Festival overall was top notch, 3rd visit in 5 years now and the access to the paddock and mingling with races teams remains as open as it was despite rising spectator numbers. A few of the usual idiots (non-racers) spannered themselves on the mountain but that's Darwin at work
Racing was Hutchy and Dunlop in they own race then everyone else. Dean Harrison is a racer on the way up for definite, deserves a ride with a big team for me. Good on the 600 and 1000.
I'll be live streaming the Senior tomorrow.

Keppel Gate is a favourite (if predictably good conditions).
You hear the bikes from a long way off, see them snaking down to that bend, and off down to Kates.
Very exposed up there, though - and if the racing drags on into the evening - you can be late getting off the circuit.
On a sunny day, though - with enough provisions and an AM radio........... one of my favourites
