Hello All,

Bought a Candy-striped 2006 R12S in January. My first and quite excited at the prospect of owning a sports bmw boxer. Have been limited to a couple of very short rides at the moment while getting all the service requirements up-to-date and then finding the front shock leaking, which is now removed for servicing. Our weather here now is oppressively humid, hot and showery, so a good time to get everything sorted ready for our long perfect riding season.

Looking forward to being part of the forum, cheers! :)

Welcome along! :D

Any feel for how popular the R1200s was/is - in Australia?

Al

Al, they are uncommon. Although there are currently 7 for sale on BikesSales over here across the whole of Oz, I've only ever seen one other in my local area while out on a ride. Which makes owning one a bit special :D

Nigel, Ha Ha! I recall Dublin's summer was pretty good in comparison though. Our February humidity results in us profusely sweating just sitting in the shade thinkin of a ride ... 37C here today too

Cheers Pete

Welcome Pete.

7 for sale - that's not many per square mile :o

Enjoy (when it's cool enough to ride).

Mike :)

Welcome from Tassie
