Meta system alarm - location on bike

I've searched previous posts and couldn't find an answer, so wondered if anyone knew where a Meta System (probably factory fitted) alarm might be located on a 2004 BCR? We've had a quick look under the seat with no luck and guess it must be under the tank, but does anyone know if this is correct and if so, which side it might be? It would be great if someone knows something so we can save a bit of time, but if not maybe I can post what we find up on the forum for future reference. Thanks and Happy New Year!

In front of the battery holder.

Cables could come out either side.
