Tuneable chips - Dobeck Performance

After a few false starts with trying to obtain Power Commanders and other suchlike, we eventually dropped on Dobeck Performance in the USA.

They already produce an off the shelf solution for R1100S [ and others ], but we wanted them to come up with a unit suitable for lightly modified bikes - DeCat / Y pipe, Freeflow air intake and silencers.

After 3 months they have come up with the goods and we've been testing the resulting unit for the past month. basically does what it says on the tin and irons out all of the little BMW foibles [ OK - faults ! ].

Simple to fit and adjust.

Check out in the trade section in a week or two for the commercial aspects / tech data and prices. Unlike some other units - these are available on an ongoing basis and have the backing of a major US company.

Initially we have ordered 10 sets [ now in stock ]. Although they make units for most modern bikes - we are initially concentrating on BMW.

Realm Engimeering have been appointed as UK agent for their products.

Yes, I think we're halfway through the first batch now [ 10 ], and will be placing a top up order soon.

I'll check with AC on Monday and post up the latest pricing.

PS - they really DO work !!!!!

Apologies for the lack of a firm retail price - we've been arguing the toss with HMC over the import duty rates !

All sorted now. The price for a new boxed system is £187 + VAT = £225.

Carriage [ tracked and insured ] mainland UK £5 - or collect from the Honeybourne workshops.

We currently have 4 left on the shelf - new order going in at the end of the month.
