I was talking to a gentlemen who pops in to ours from time to time on his way up to the Highlands, He has a new vfr 800 with Hondas gear assist. He says that it took a bit of getting used to but now he finds it a good rider aid.
He can now wipe the rain off his visor whilst changing gear! He says you just have to touch the gear peg lightly and the assist does the rest, down changes he was not to confident with and still uses the handle bar lever. On the down side he said he inadvertently touched the gear foot peg at lights and off he went Paul is 70 years of age and gave the system a thumbs up, he said "every rider aid at his age is an advantage" Nice looking do it all middleweight if you ask me.
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
It is a quick shifter and it is an option added on to the standard bike, for up shifts only I think Paul mentioned. I was well impressed with this new model.
2014 0n. arguably better vfm v the R1200rs.
Gets good reviews too.
