FLASH! 2015

Post by Gromit »

Morning all,

Hope all the Flash attendees had easy and uneventful journeys home or to onward destinations last night.

Well, what a weekend! Perfect weather, stunning roads (the new one which Tony has discovered down to Nontron is...well, a proper piece of biking heaven).

I've got 4GB-worth of photos to upload so will get onto that asap - will put a small selection on here, with a link to the Flickr album for the whole lot.

Stunning images as usual Richard. Can't say mine will be anywhere near as good but will upload a selection later.

As you say what a fabulous weekend. Fantastic roads, fabulous food, beautiful weather and excellent company (well most of it!).

The photos really capture the spirit of the whole thing and can't wait to go back on a totally Trixster weekend.

BTW where the photo of the angry cat?

Thanks Greg - sorry, missed the one of George having a yawn (makes him look angry I admit!).

Here you go...

My first experience of a foreign Boxertrix event and indeed of France, apart from getting through it as fast as poss to go somewhere else.

Excellent photos Richard - up to your usual high standard. Glad you got your mojo back.

Thanks to Paul for organising the route, Le Mans B&B, and doing all the translating before we met up with the rest of the Boxertrix crew.

Steve W (captain Garmin) for taking point and relentlessly forging onwards.

A special thanks to Greg (D-T); for offering to swap his immaculate Randy Mamola BCR for my box stock R11S for a few miles.
I didn't realise such similar bikes could be so chalk and cheese.
I need to start saving for the Ohlins, get some lube down the throttle cables and lose some weight off the old tractor.
Maybe some Laser cans as well... but at least mine has the smoooooooth engine.....
Or that V4 Tuono sounded nice and fruity, maybe one of them for next year??

Cheers guys it was epic - made some new mates and enjoyed the whole experience.
Fast and safe riding from all on here, with good craic and piss taking from Tony each evening.
When's the next one?

Thanks, John - was a real pleasure having you along. :)

I'm going to be in touch with Tony in the next 24 hours or so to try and pin down a weekend for next year. It'll most likely be 23-28th June as the equivalent weekend for the one we've just done contains Father's Day (again) wouldn't want to miss 2 of those on the trot.

Will of course confirm once the ball begins rolling again. :)

Great photos, Greg - especially like the one in Tony & Violette's garden, it sums up perfectly what the weekend was about. Good times. :)

Not as yet, apart from I think (but cannot confirm at the moment) the dates will be the equivalent weekend to this year ie around the 17-21st June. This coincides with the Le Mans 24 so obviously booking crossings will need to be done fairly pronto.

I've spoken to Tony a couple of times via email and he's going to try and move 'our' weekend to one further on, but won't know for sure if that's possible just yet. Needless to say, once I have more concrete info I'll forward it asap.

Would be brilliant if we can book all the available slots for Les Trixters. :)

Great pics gentlemen. Brought back some good memories. I take it it was Trixters plus others to make up the group? Ours was a group of 15 (13 bikes).
