Guy Martin in ch4 building a spitfire that got shot down over France on D day and dug up in 1980. well worth a watch.

Brilliant program. I think Guy Martin is great, but even though we lived in Lincolnshire for 12 years and became used to the accent, I still miss a lot of what he says.

Hearing aid for me and a slow button on the telly would help.

Brilliant program, I was quite moved by it, as were the daughters of the pilot who crashed in Normandy. And it was a huge improvement on Guy's more recent tv progs too I thought he handled it with great humility

Always great to have another Spitfire in the skys where they should be, but it struck me that that particular one was a bit like Triggers broom, nothing wrong with that, but far from a restoration.
That Merlin sounded so sweet
