May she have a very long and happy, and well deserved (having worked in NHS), retirement. And a brilliant trip to the MotoGP (I'm like well jealous).

I've got 9 weeks to go, and counting. Getting a bit scary at the thought of leaving work for the last time.

She started young straight from school, but she's done 38 years in the same department ... Radiology being underground that's 38 years in the same corridor - quite a thought.

But it's long enough to qualify for early retirement and she can join me in Trinidad.

Having survived the happy experience of waking up next to a grandma, I now have to look forward to sleeping with a pensioner .....
