a return to the fold

Post by Fw190 »

I sold my 11S a few years back, (if any one knows the whereabouts of S608KNK, I hope she's still running)and having wobbled about on a Rockster when work and time allowed, I've reached the point where the 'Rocky' just doesn't work for me anymore.

I've had a hankering for a return to something like my much loved 1100, and I finally bit the bullet and Saturday should see an 09 reg 1200'S heading up the valley to home. (the Valley being the Po valley)

I'm not the most regular contributor here, work see's me away for much of the year and time is always short, however, I enjoy the site and pop in and out when I can.. having said that, a fall has me laid up, and unable to ride, but at least allows me to catch up with Boxertrix goings on...

another 4 or weeks or so, should see me able to ride the new bike, until then I guess I'll hobble around and polish bits and pieces.. Moto Legende in France is the target to be fit for.. it will be nice to be back on an S...

cheers..

Congratulations on the purchase, an 09 reg, that's unusual, must have been languishing in a dealers somewhere unsold. Presumably small mileage? Any pics?

Thanks Eyore, I imagine it sat around for a year, the registration docs show 09, it's on 16,000km so a bit under 10,000 miles, not too bad..here in Italy they sit unregistered in the dealers, there's even a brand new Boxer cup on the Subito.it web-site! the guy wants a laughable €24,000 for it!

I'll have pics on Saturday, I'm heading down to sign all the papers...

cheers
