..unfortunately we have another statistic, shame & condolences.
Motorcyclist dies after collision with car, Bryneglwys . A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Denbighshire, say North Wales Police.
Officers attended a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the A5104, Bryneglwys, at 13:56 GMT on Saturday.
The male rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver and passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Steve P do you know any more about this one?

rode past there yesterday.
If you're riding from Bryneglwys towards Corwen lights there's a left hander with white railings on the left that runs into a right hander. Looks like he cocked up the left hander, ran wide and bounced off an oncoming car.

Sad, but having said that when I was out yesterday there were several who where obviously on the first ride of the year and were proving that a riding layoff makes the skill set rusty.
I got behind one on a black speed triple with a passenger, with little leg protection (just lycra leggings) ..... for those that know the A5 to ByC there's a green caravan in a layby on the left that acts as a cafe. He totally cocked up the right hander and almost chucked him, her and bike into the hedge. He stopped playing after that

Second that Steve and a case for ATGATT!
Couldn't quite place the scene of that incident! Didn't really think that there were many tricky bends on the A5104 but I suppose the bend you are approaching at the time is always as 'tricky' as you make it!

Locals call the section of the A5104 from the Horseshoe Roundabout to Corwen lights "suicide alley" for good reason ...
I was following a dozy bint in an E46 318 BMW convertible for a few miles yesterday and she was doing some very agressive overtakes, and not once did she look in her mirrors. This made me highly twitchy of passing her, and in retrospect I shuold have given her a toot to let her know I was there, but I waited until a point were I figured she wouldn't over take ..... up a blind hill, where the bike would be past before there was a risk but a car couldn't..... However, I was half expecting her to be silly and sure enough just as I was level with the drivers door she started an overtake ...... a blast from the Stebel on the K made her jump a bit

Poor bloke.
That ess bend has "tricky" written all over it. The apex is not where it first appears, just for starters.

True
Assuming there's no oncoming traffic I tend to be on the right hand side of the road (around where the van in the image is) for it as it makes the transition to the right hander better.
Another mitigating factor may be that in the bend, when your committed there's a quite broken surface which is disturbing to rider and machine when heeled over, again taking it wide does help by putting you on a different line for it.

know that stretch really well. Mate saw the accident at the. weekend and said it was a big impact.

I was out yesterday doing some observing in the Dales and the loons were out for sure. Just as i was saying goodbye to the associate, this lad came past us at full chat... obviously unaware that the Police are using a stack of plain bikes in the County. I reeled him in and then watched as he did some completely crazy overtaking round a blind left hand bend.. absolute suicide move
