S wheels on a GS1150?

A friend af mine is planning on changing his std gs1150 wheels for a pair off an S, 5" rear rim, he seems to think they will bolt straight on, I would have thought he'd need new spacers, spindle, gearing etc.
I have pointed him to the gs forum but I wondered if anyone here has any ideas?

Cheers
Steve

Steve - not an expert here, but I know a cople of people that have done it. The back is no problem at all, fits straight on. The front is a bit different however. The GS on the person I know has a speedo pickup off the front wheel and the S doens't - so he had to use the same 'pattern' wheel from a R1150R I think instead cos that provided the speedo drive - also, because the S is a 17in and the GS is a 19 the front mudguard looks stupid - there are substitutes available that are made specifically for people who do this though - oh, and the GS steers a hell of a lot quicker on the 17in wheel apparantly!

Oh yea - I forgot. Don't know how accurate his speedo will be with a 17in front either - probably over read quite a bit
